I finished this book this morning and I absolutely LOVED it! It is such a great story of how the lives two men born on the same day on opposite sides of the world, collide. It is so interesting and includes events such as the crash of the Titanic, the great depression, and WWII. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read! I am going to buy the sequel tonight.
I have always wondered why I often stay up at night much later than I need to, or really should. It just occurred to me that it is the only time of the day I have completely to myself, and not only that, I have no obligations. If I facebook stalk people I hardly know for 2 hours, it doesn't matter because what else am I going to do at 3 am? I think if I were to be an animal, it would be a giraffe considering they need the least amount of sleep out of any mammal. Come to think of it, I have always been fond of giraffes. Maybe it's the height resemblence that has made these freakishly tall animals my favorite attraction at the zoo? Just a thought.
A couple of weeks ago I went to a conference in Indiana for DG. It was a leadership conference for sororities and fraternities all over the country. Besides sometimes feeling like I was in prison (due to the cell-like bedrooms, and limited amount of "recreation time"), I had a lot of fun! We were not allowed to leave the house very often, but when we did it was so nice! I never knew how beautiful Indiana is! In fact, I never even knew WHERE it was, I had to look it up on a map once I was there (I did know the general area though)! It was really interesting to learn about how Greek Life is at different schools, and I made some good friends! I never thought I'd say this but I kind of miss it!
The Alpha Pi Omicron sorority house where the conference was held.
One of the roads on the Indiana University campus, the forests there are so dense!
My "chapter" at the conference, I miss them so much!
The Delta Gamma house at IU...SO BIG! 150 girls live there during the school year. If only ours were like this!
