diet coke taste test

my bosses never believed me
when i said
there is such thing
as a 'good' and a 'bad' diet coke,
and that i could tell where it's from
based on the taste alone. 

so on friday,

we had a diet coke taste test.

i was blind folded

and drank each one through a straw.

i'd lie and say i got them all right,

but that would be a lie.

mcdonalds and the gas station...

i mixed them up.

i blame it on 

a bad brew from mcdonalds.

caitlin agreed.

if you notice...

there's a diet pepsi

in the mix -

i find it slightly insulting

that they thought

i couldn't guess that one.

his birthday

was tuesday,

and he needs to know

that he's my other half.

i love him 

more than diet coke,

chocolate donuts,

and jcrew combined

(and multiplied by infinity).

he's the funniest,

most patient,

fun-loving

and hardest working

person i know.

i love, love, love him.

today i spent an hour
trying to to lift him
above me
with my legs
(aka superman).
i failed,
but it was fun.
it confirmed
why i love him so much
(not that i need any convincing).

i'd like to pretend

that i'm a healthy eater.

i'm not.

let's be honest...

if it comes down to

eating a chobani for breakfast,

or a chocolate chocolate donut,

the donut will win.

every time.

chloee and i ran 3 miles tonight

(in the snow)

so i feel fine about it.

we're the next up and coming race runners,

i believe.

today i woke up and thought,

"if it stops raining,

i think i'll take a walk

after church".

it stopped raining alright...

it stopped raining

so it could start snowing.

yesterday's weather

set my hopes

unrealistically high.

oh well,

at least our apartment

is cozy.

today's my mom's birthday.

i am so lucky to have her.

she's the funniest, sweetest,

and most beautiful woman i know.

don't know what i'd do without her.

can't wait to get burgers later today

and celebrate.

livin for the weekend

since getting married,

maybe my saturday mornings

no longer include going to the mall

or sleeping till noon

and getting a diet coke

with a friend.

maybe saturday mornings

now include 

waking up at 9:30

(my new "sleeping in"),

to help richie clean the apt.

then we go to maverik

for a hotdog and a bev

(if you haven't tried their hotdogs,

you need to... they're delicious).

the weekend can't come soon enough.
