(as much as jcrew, madewell,
and lulu rock my world, i think i'm
finally coming to terms with the fact that i have a
"champagne taste on a beer budget").

i think i've had one everyday

zombie apocalypse

friday night

i played the funnest game

i've ever played

(aside from tennis or laser tag, of course).

zombie apocalypse.

it was terrifying,

but so much fun.
i always thought
i could survive a zombie apocalypse
(if one were to ever happen),
but now
i know i could.

bbq chicken

my coworker

didn't believe me

when i told her that

i typically eat candy

for dinner

because i don't

know how to cook.

"that's okay"

she said,

"just throw some chicken

in a crock pot,

pour some sauce over it

and it will be done 

by the time you get home from work - 

it's simple."

it's simple alright,

simple for everyone but me.

it's a good thing

we have cafe rio

to back us up 

on nights like these.

our latest addition

i spotted

this gem

a few months ago

at an antique store 

downtown.

it was kind of pricey

so i had to resist.

when we got our 

tax return check

in the mail,

i knew just what i was going to do

with it...

i look at it 

as an investment in our future.

and i love it.
